Godalming narrowly lost at Cinderford Town following a second half strike that separated two evenly matched sides.
The home side bossed the opening exchanges and Gs had Zaki Oualah to thank for a fantastic one handed save following a Cinderford corner. However it was almost 1-0 to the away side when Adam Everiss curled a free kick onto the outside of the post from 20 yards.
Cinderford continued to enjoy more possession in the second period and Oualah produced two smart saves to keep Gs level. The deadlock was broken when Cinderford’s George Evans beat two defenders and his deflected shot snuck into the bottom corner. Godalming equalised seconds later but the goal was ruled out for offside despite De St Croix being well behind Mazzone when he received the pass.
Cinderford withheld a late flurry of chances to record a narrow win.
