Godalming Town FC

Godalming Town 0-1 Taunton Town

A seventh minute Chris Young strike was the difference in a typical end of season encounter. Taunton, who were on a seven game winning streak, took seven minutes to take the lead after an even start. Chris Young found the bottom corner from a narrow angle in a half of little action. Darren Wheeler found himself in a good position soon after, but his effort powerful effort failed to test Joe Perry.

Godalming managed to test the Taunton keeper a bit more in the second half, with Mark Watkins and Chris Wales both forcing Joe Perry to turn the ball around the post. Darren Wheeler also went close with a long range free kick, whilst Jamie Price struck the outside of the post for the visitors, but the game petered out with Taunton holding on for the victory.
