Two goals at the start of the second half ensured that Walton Casuals left a windy Wey Court with all 3 points. Godalming had the better of the first half with Warren Harris firing over the bar from inside the area. Dan Read then also had an effort which was well saved by Gareth Williams. Walton’s closest effort of the half came when they had a goal disallowed for offside.
Walton came out strong at the second half and scored when Troy Ferguson finished well past Somerville. Walton were 2-0 up soon after when Antonio Simeone fouled in the area and Liam Holden converted the resulting penalty. Godalming piled on the pressure from then onwards, and came closest when Scott Harris hit the post. Despite the onslaught Casuals held on for the win, with a performance which saw them being the more clinical of the two sides.
