Godalming’s final preseason friendly ended in a 1-1 draw with Southern Central side Chertsey Town. A game of few chances saw Godalming take the lead after 12 minutes, when midfielder Dan Seabrook curled the ball into the top corner leaving the Chertsey keeper no chance.

The visitors equalised midway through the half when Gavin Miller ended up bundling the ball into his own net whilst under pressure from the Chertsey forward. An uneventful second half saw Godalming go closest when the Chertsey keeper palmed the ball onto his own crossbar from a header.

The season starts on Saturday, as Godalming host Paulton Rovers at Wey Court, kick off 3pm.
