Godalming Town 2-0 Ramsgate

Goals in each half from Dan Read and Jamie McClurg ensured the Gs enter the final 9 games of the season with an outside shot of the play-offs.

Godalming started brightly, and asserted some early pressure from a number of corners. A neat one-two between McClurg and Read saw the former fire past Shannon Harris, only for the linesman to raise his flag for offside. The Gs did find the breakthrough 5 minutes before half time, when Dan Read broke through, and calmly finished past Harris from the edge of the area.

Ramsgate had more of the possession on the second half, and thought they had equalised, only for the linesman to rule out a Tom Hickman header for offside. The final stages were nervy for the hosts, but those nerves were settled when the ball fell kindly Jamie McClurg 18 yards out,  who side footed past the out of position Harris.

Godalming face Burgess Hill Town on Tuesday (13th) at Wey Court, kick off 7.45pm.
