Godalming are in the hat for tomorrows FA Cup 2nd Qualifying Round Draw, although they will need to overcome Dulwich in a replay on Tuesday night. Despite a bright start from Godalming, the visitors took control of the first half, and caused the Gs defence more problems than they’ve encountered this season so far. This was not helped by Captain Adam Foulser going off with a hamstring injury midway through the half. Hamlet took the lead through Dean Carpenter, after he dispossessed Warren Harris then fired an unstoppable effort past Jake Somerville. Godalming grabbed an equaliser just before half time, when Warren Harris fired a pin-point cross in from the right, which was met by the head of Johnnie Dyer and found the back of the net.
Godalming were much more lively in the second half, pressing Dulwich back from the off. Antonio Simeone gave the Gs the lead on 52 minutes when his unstoppable free kick found the top corner of the net. Godalming held on until the 88th minute, when Jake Somerville brought down the Dulwich forward, resulting in a booking for Jake and a penalty for Dulwich. Substitute Erzan Oztumer converted the penalty; forcing a replay at Champion Hill this Tuesday, kick off 7.45pm
