Godalming Town 2-2 Dulwich Hamlet

Godalming twice came from behind to record a well earned draw against Dulwich Hamlet. Hamlet went 1-0 up after seven minutes, when a cross from Ofusu-Hene wasn’t clear by the Godalming defence, leaving Frankie Sawyer to fire past Somerville from close range. The Gs found an equaliser ten minutes later, when Darren Wheeler’s corner was headed home by Ryan Lake at the far post.

Dulwich took the lead a minute into the second half, when Kamara’s shot bounced in past Somerville. Godalming upped the tempo and put pressure on Dulwich with a succession of corners, and it was from one of these that the equaliser came after 72 minutes. After a scramble in the box, the ball fell to Antonio Simeone who smashed the ball into the net from 12 yards. This set up an open finish to the game, but neither side could manage to find a winner.

Godalming face league leaders Bognor Regis Town at home this Saturday, kick off 3pm.
