An exciting game, which included three penalties, saw Bognor leave with all three points after winning 4-2. Dan Read went close midway through the first half, but his effort was well saved by the legs of Craig Stoner. Godalming took the lead after 38 minutes, when Osa Obamwonyi handled in the box. Darren Wheeler converted the resulting penalty into the bottom corner. Bognor were then awarded a penalty after 44 minutes, when Jake Somerville brought down James Crane on the edge of the box, and Ashley Robinson converted the spot kick.
The second half had barely started before Bognor were again awarded a penalty. Dan Beck’s shot was judged to have been blocked by the arm of Ryan Lake, and Robinson converted the penalty once again. Bognor grabbed their third on 55 minutes, when a cross from the right from Robinson was header home by Steve Harper. Warren Harris pulled one back for Godalming on 70 minutes, after Stoner misjudged a looping cross, which Dan Read volleyed back across the goal for Harris to tap into an empty net. As Godalming pushed for the equaliser, Bognor broke and sealed the game in the 90th minute, Steve Harper grabbing his second of the game.
