Despite taking an early 2-0 lead, Godalming threw away the points, conceding a last minute equaliser at home to Ashford Town. Johnnie Dyer gave Godalming the lead with a far post header after only 2 minutes, after an acrobatic assist from Ben Edwards. Warren Harris then doubled Godalming’s lead in the 20th minute when he capitalised on some slack defending to slot low past Paul McCarthy. Godalming failed to deal with a free-kick on the stroke of half time, with Jack Mullan taking advantage for the visitors to make it 2-1 at the break.
15 minutes into the second half Ashford equalised, Scott Weight heading in a rebound after Godalming had failed to clear their lines. Godalming struck back when Warren Harris put a thumping shot into the bottom corner, but as the match entered the dying minutes, Pietro Palladino scored from a tight angle, the ball going across the line before hitting the post and going in.
