Leighton Town 1-4 Godalming Town

A comfortable victory against Leighton Town saw Godalming retain their place at the top of the table. Godalming were missing captain Adam Foulser through illness, but welcomed the Antonio Simeone back from suspension. The Gs were ahead after 7 minutes, when a Darren Wheeler cross was put in the back of the net by a Leighton defender. Warren Harris doubled Godalming’s lead 5 minutes later with a powerful effort from the edge of the area, and it was 3-0 in the 17th minute when Ryan Lake volleyed in from a corner. The home side pulled a goal back in soon after, but a powerful header from Antonio Simeone in the 30th minute restored the Gs 3 goal cushion.

The second half contained very little goalmouth action, with the best chance of the half falling to Dan Read, whose point blank effort was well saved by the Leighton keeper.
