Godalming returned to the summit of the league after a 4-2 victory at North Greenford. Johnnie Dyer fired low past Lee Pearce to put the Gs ahead after 7 minutes, but the lead last only 3 minutes after Dave Taylor replied for the home side to make it 1-1. Godalming kept up the early pressure, and were rewarded when Darren Wheeler struck a bouncing ball sweetly past Pearce into the bottom corner. Ten minutes later it was 3-1, when a Wheeler corner was headed back towards goal by Adam Foulser, then flicked on by George Short for Scott Harris to head home. Despite leading 3-1 at the break, Godalming had had the chances to have put the game to bed in the first half.
The home side started the second half brightly, and got their reward when Anthony O’Connor tapped in a rebound, after a good save by Somerville on 60 minutes. The game carried on at a frenetic pace, with chances aplenty. Johnnie Dyer sealed the win for Godalming on 70 minutes when he fired high into the net after a pinpoint Wheeler cross. Dan Read nearly made it 5, but his volley was well saved by Pearce.
