Godalming Town FC is delighted to announce the appointment of Sam Morgan as First Team Manager.
Following a comprehensive recruitment process, the club was delighted to receive 17 high-quality applications for the role, which we believe reflects both the potential of Godalming Town FC and the exciting opportunity the club represents.
After careful consideration, Sam emerged as the outstanding candidate, and we are thrilled to welcome him to the club. We believe his experience, leadership and ambition make him the right person to guide the First Team through the next phase of its development.
Sam will officially assume full responsibility for First Team duties on Wednesday 30 September. In the meantime, Jack Webb and Rob Parrot will continue in interim charge for Tuesday evening’s fixture away to Tooting & Mitcham United.
Everyone at the club would like to place on record their thanks to Jack and Rob for their commitment and hard work during this transitional period.
Our immediate priority is to climb away from the relegation zone, and we look forward to working closely with Sam to achieve that objective while building a strong foundation for the future.
Please join us in welcoming Sam Morgan to Godalming Town FC.
Mo Sher
20 September 2026
Godalming Town FC regret to announce that, by mutual agreement, First Team Manager Mo Sher has left the club with immediate effect.
Following a successful 2025/26 campaign, in which Godalming Town secured promotion from the Southern Combination League, the club has won just one of its opening 12 fixtures this season. After careful consideration, it was mutually agreed that a change in management is required to provide a new manager with sufficient time and opportunity to improve results and steer the team in a positive direction.
The club would like to place on record its sincere thanks to Mo for his hard work, commitment and contribution during his time at Godalming Town, and wishes him every success in the future.
Jack Webb and Rob Parrott will assume joint caretaker management responsibilities while the club undertakes the process of appointing a new First Team Manager.
